I've put the photos of all the boats, ships and vessels in this gallery. My favorites are the old sailing vessels - schooners, clippers, frigates, tall ships and, of course, all the mysterious tales that go along with them. When I visit Boothbay ME every summer, one of my favorite destinations is the Boothbay Shipyard. I've been lucky to see the "Ernestina", "Friendship of Salem", and Harvey Gamache" in dock for repairs. Ernestina is fascinating, as she's truly an old girl. I just recently photographed the Bounty when it was in Portsmouth NH. Although it's a replica, it's presence still evokes the feel and mystik of what the original Bounty must have been like.
